Culture Shapers: Black Trail Runners

Happy Black History Month! In celebration, we’re excited to highlight Black trail runners and groups who are helping to bring more people onto the trails. Check out these amazing members of our community and make sure to show them some love as we debut the on social media each week.

Meet Manika (@manikaruns) – a trailblazer in every sense! From pounding pavement to conquering rugged trails, she’s on a mission to inspire more people, showing that "WE too can do hard things."

Whether it’s steep climbs or new adventures, Manika is helping prove that the trail is for everyone and spends a lot of time answering questions related to getting started. Follow her journey and be inspired!

Meet Lorraine & Ray (@blackcouplesdorun)! A powerhouse duo proving that running is better together! From road races to trail adventures, they inspire couples (and everyone) to lace up, hit the pavement, and embrace the joy of movement.

Their journey is all about love, health, and community because strong miles make strong relationships.

Meet Dr. Kelvin Brown (@drkelvinbrown)! A trail and road runner, heart attack survivor, and motivator on a mission to push limits and break barriers! From marathons to mindset shifts, he’s all about inspiring others to chase their goals—on and off the pavement.

Follow him for training tips, motivation, and a whole lot of Black excellence in motion.
