Program Coordinator - Contract to Permanent Hire

Job Description
Founded in 2020 by a team of leaders and runners in the running industry, the Running Industry Diversity Coalition (RIDC) is a 501c3 organization with a mission to unite the running industry to improve the inclusion, visibility, and access for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).
We’re excited to welcome a Program Coordinator to our team who shares our enthusiasm for increasing BIPOC representation in the running and outdoor industries. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Senior Program Manager, contributing to impactful initiatives by providing administrative support, managing program data, and coordinating activities.
This role will begin as a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, 3-month (90-day) contract position, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a difference in the communities we serve, we’d love to hear from you!

Primary Responsibilities:
Program Support and Implementation
Collaborate with the Senior Program Manager to implement impactful national programs that increase BIPOC representation in the running and outdoor industries.
Maintain program timelines and update information using Asana, ensuring smooth project management.
Coordinate logistical aspects of program delivery, including participant communications, setting up Zoom workshops, updating Eventbrite, managing ticketing systems, and setting up and taking down on-site events.
Provide on-the-ground event support, required participation at up to one event per quarter.
Comfortable in confirming tasks and program objectives to ensure team continuity.
Contribute to refining program goals by sharing feedback and ensuring deliverables align with strategic priorities.
Community Engagement and Management
Act as a resource for RIDC’s diverse network of community stakeholders.
Partner with the Senior Program Manager to research BIPOC media and content creators who could drive visibility and inclusivity within the running and outdoor industries.
Data Management and Reporting
Collect program data through surveys built from provided templates, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Maintain organized and accessible program records in the RIDC Google Drive, ensuring up-to-date data management practices.
Deliver programming details, as requested for monthly reporting needs.
Membership and Stakeholder Engagement:
Awareness and comfortability advocating for racial equity and justice during internal and external discussions.
Provide support during meetings with RIDC partners.
Revenue and Sustainability Support
Track program expenses and process invoices.
Provide administrative support for revenue-generating initiatives, such as webinars, workshops, ticketed events, and merchandise sales.
Collaborate on marketing strategies to promote activities and donor engagement.
Team Collaboration and Support
Work closely with the Senior Program Manager and other team members to align program activities with organizational goals.
Assist in preparing materials for team meetings, ensuring programming-related items are well-organized and actionable.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in program coordination, nonprofit management, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in program administration, event coordination, or stakeholder engagement.
Ability and willingness to travel (by car, air, train, or bus) to industry events.
Strong understanding of racial justice and anti-racism work.
Experience or interest in running, physical activity, or related industries.
Interest in positively impacting the running industry and running culture.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to deliver messages clearly and decisively.
Proficiency in Google Suite.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
Desired Experience & Skills:
Proficiency with project management tools, with preferred experience in Asana.
Experience working in the nonprofit sector is preferred but not required.
Experience with data collection, tracking, and/or reporting.
Familiarity with data collection and reporting tools.
Knowledge of the running or outdoor industries is a plus.
Experience working with diverse communities, particularly BIPOC-led organizations.
Strong self-awareness and ability to ask for help.
Employment Type:
Full-time contract position, 40 hours per week, 3-month (90-day) term with potential for long-term employment.
Compensation:
Salary: The salary for this role is $3,500 monthly, paid at a flat rate on a 30-day cycle.
