The RIDC Is Recruiting For Trail Study Focus Group Participants

The RIDC is launching a study to understand how we can make trail running more accessible and more inclusive. If you’re interested, and if you meet the criteria below, hit us up!

  • Must identify as Black, Hispanic, Latinx, Asian, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, Native American, American Indian, Alaskan Native, Indigenous or a combination of these races/ethnicities.

  • Must run on trails at least once per month. Trail running is loosely defined as running on dirt paths, wooded trails or a similar surface, usually in parks or areas with significant tree cover. It is not defined as running on open roads, on neighborhood sidewalks, on paved surfaces or concrete roads.

Focus groups will be held via Zoom and will last 60 minutes. Participants will be compensated with a $75 Visa debit card, issued through vanillagift.com.

If you’re interested, please fill out this short survey so we can learn more about you. This link also contains planned dates/times for the focus groups.

If you are selected to participate, you will receive an email from us at least 3 business days before the start of the focus group to confirm your attendance. Please be prepared to fill out our Informed Consent Form.

Many thanks!!
