Removing the Gatekeeping: Career Opportunity & Advancement for Women of Color in the Running Industry

The Running Industry Diversity Coalition is hosting a panel discussion to offer Women of Color insight on career opportunities and growth in the running industry. This will be a Q+A with four panelists, where attendees are encouraged to come with questions and share their own experiences.

This is one of several closed workshops we host a few times a year to provide space for specific groups to chat and learn from each other. This closed workshop is for Women of Color who are:

  • Curious about a career in the running industry and about what it has to offer

  • Currently working in the industry and want to grow their career

We aim to be transparent during this session, sharing the challenges as well as the benefits that come with being a Women of Color in this industry.

During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Hear from leaders in the industry about their career paths and the biggest lessons they have learned

  • Celebrate Women of Color making an impact in a male-dominated industry

  • Learn how the running industry can be a space to launch or grow your career

Amazing panelists include:

  • Portia Blunt: Vice President of Apparel at Reebok

  • Selena Castro: Sports Marketing Specialist at Mizuno

  • Ha-Le Tran: GTM Process Manager at New Balance

  • Dinée Dorame: Community Activist and Host of the Grounded Podcast
